The good news is that some of this behaviour is out in the open now and the church has some pressure to stop it repeating as it has over the years. For it is always easier to talk about good and evil when preaching to externals but to face it within is entirely another matter.

Many of those with the paedophile disease (for want of a better term) have been attracted to the church for both good and bad reasons. On the darker side is the amazing degree of exposure to children with little supervision and a great deal of trust on your side. The Scouts and Teachers face similar issues. On the other hand many probably do not want this paedophile disease (for selfish reasons if not altruistic). Many may believe the church offers them hope to purge this evil, this sin, from themselves and thus they will enter the church with every intention of stopping their behaviour. Intentions which cannot be and are not fulfilled.

And so the church draws large numbers of these kinds of people towards itself and provides them with excellent opportunity to carry out their dreadful harm towards children. And in so concentrating them allows the paedophiles to build up supportive networks for mutual protection.

If caught out, the attitude has been of forgiveness and minimalising the impact on the perpetrator. Often not informing the police, often continuing exposure to children. All in all a very soft approach. A softness which has cost countless kids very dearly indeed.

We must not forget that those that choose religion as a conduit for murder, fear and control are not the friends of good people and must be opposed without cease or uncertainty.

We must not forget to protect and nurture our own; ourselves, our family, friends, neighbours, countrymen, and allies. The key to our survival, happiness and strength is our thriving no matter which way the winds blow.

We must not forget the good people, like those in the military forces, who chose difficult paths to safeguard our future, some of whom pay in health, or happiness or even life to bring about this result.

Let us appreciate what we have and yearn to do even better.

A lot of disturbing catch-phrases thrown about in that article.  They take the real need for some regulation and to give people a fair go and twist it into an agenda to do things their way..  the socialist way.  Capitalism has flaws oh yes, monopolies and toadies unite but the current economic crisis was not just caused by poor regulation.  It’s was merely exacerbated by it.  The core cause was bad loans encouraged by a socialist political agenda and the domino effect of many bad business decisions.  The politicians are bolstered by a public who have recoiled from some of the callousness of their predecessors.

This temporary financial crisis of capitalism still beats the permanent financial crisis of the favoured alternative.  Already trade is faltering from the decline and protectionism.  We need to be vigilant not to allow the concept of we should force you to do what we think is good for you to dominate.

It leads to situations where the lies are quite blatant.  Fortunately the heyday of Catholicism has gone and such falsehoods are being brushed aside.
